Designed for clear, flexible use
BuildMyCV aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA and to make the core resume-building workflow usable with keyboards, screen readers, zoom, and touch input.
What we have implemented
- Semantic landmarks and a skip-to-content link
- Visible focus indicators and keyboard-operable controls
- Text labels for form fields, icon buttons, status messages, and destructive actions
- Keyboard alternatives for moving repeated resume entries
- Responsive edit, preview, and design views
- Print styles that remove application controls
- Reduced-motion preferences and strong text contrast
Known limitations
Browser print dialogs differ by platform and may not expose identical controls. Very long user content can require manual editing or a two-page target. Custom accent colors may produce insufficient contrast; the default presets are preferred.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, email Support@buildmycv.live with the page, action, browser, and assistive technology involved. Please exclude personal resume content.
Ongoing review
Accessibility should be retested with real users and common assistive technologies before launch and after major feature changes.
